Um... communism in China isn't what's propelling the country, it's a weird type of command capitalism, where the Chinese allow exactly, and only, what they want to go on occur, but they let our corporations pay for it, since the corporations also make money.

Yes Xz, and thank you for correcting my bad english.
I can now study the proper use of grammar when writing in english.

And Blinky, Wasn't it very, very "communistic" when Mao had the power?

I'm not Blinky, but what you said was kind of silly. If any one person has the power, then it's not a communist regime.

I'm not blinky either, but isn't a communist community supposed to be 100% democratic? Everyone gets to vote on everything-kind-of-style?

When Mao was in power that most certainly was not the case, and neither is it today.

marijuana is illegal in my country, yes fbi?

    Is this guy serious?

As far as an explanation for what I said... I think I meant the chinese aren't going to care or notice much if they overtake american consumerism and displace our position at the top of the global economic food chain. They shouldn't care, mostly because its called "economic competition" (which we capitalists should all be in favor of, and not future power shifting through baby wars with north korea). But otherwise I think they probably wouldn't notice a real change in fairness of government after achieving economic superiority, everyone would probably just be a little more distracted from inequities, and fewer people would be subject to the pains of social corruption because they'd have more financial stability at home.

I wonder what america would be like if this happened.

But I'm not necessarily saying it will, or is happening, its just that it seems like it could happen and thats a little scary even for an anarchist (read: the only true individual in this forum, now and forever, fuck you sigurd) like myself. Blinky I don't actually think economic growth by social agitation through corporate investments has anything to do with the peoples' sense of statist-commy slave-pride. Its always greed/"stupidity as a result of boredom" related, which is why nike, mcdonalds, starbucks and harley davidson are going to be the companies that experience the most success. Even in china the teen agers still want to be james dean.

World Peace will be achieved through peace and humility and social resposibility but definitly not through fun and coffee.

I'm so stoned. I wonder if I make sense.

We got any stoners in the house tonight? uhhhhhhhh... rocky road. me lazy... me so poor... yum...

*chuckles* Good to see ya Sleek, glad to know that your stonerism is providing us with good grounds for Political debate... and a damned good arguement. It's kinda worrying when a mid 20 year old, stoned off his ass, is capable of producing a better arguement than the "Future's of our Nations" when they're sober'n'clean'n'clear.

I just think with my mushrooms, as well as all my echo and the bunnymen albums.

Seriously, world peace would be achieved if every jukebox in the world had "Ocean Rain" in it. Go download it now.

Darkfool, comparing anyone to Bree, in whatever state, is obviously going to be a favourable comparison to the unnamed individual. But, yeah, Sleek has an excellent point.
China's on the fast track to becoming THE economic power. But, as an American, I'm going to do my best to keep it from happening. Of course, earning $11 bucks an hour won't do that any time soon.

The perfect world, in my opinion, has at least these properties:

    - free and easy movement of people, immigration
    - political freedom, constitutional republic / liberal democracy in every fucking country
    - social freedom, human rights
    - economic freedom, competition, no state-owned shits
    - one big fucking single market, free market economy

I think you may be confusing Communism with Capitalism. Its a simple enough mistake and I'm sure it happens all the time
