Have any of you guys played Liero? If not, I really think you should download it and try it out: http://hem.passagen.se/introl/buffy/thegame.html It's not at all fun playing single, but you can have tons of fun with it if you play it against a friend. It's old like hell. I played it like 4 years ago, and I believe it was old already then. I recently re-discovered it on the net, and it still rocks! Don't let the graphics fool you. This game is fun! I don't know if it can be played on XP though... it's a DOS program. I'm on my laptop right now (Win98). I may try it out on the stationary later...
HEATHEN! HEATHEN! AAAAAAAAAAARGH! I played Liero (can be played on XP) a few months ago, and yeah, sure it's good for a blast, but why not just pick up a quality game like Worms: Armageddon or Worms World Party? Now there's some multiplayer fun...gaaaaaaaaargh...
Don't you ever dare compare Liero with worms! Ever! Seriously, yeah, worms may, and I say may, be the better one of the two, but Liero is real time baby! Real time! No silly turn-based action here! And... in multiplayer, you've got to be two people playing on the same keyboard. Can't beat that. However, one may question the originality of Liero. Most of the weapons are taken from Worms in the first place  You do realize that I consider that a compliment right?
