We're having a bit of a reprieve from the cold snap that struck us for about a week. Daily temperatures wouldn't get higher than the mid twenties and the nights got down to the teens. Smoking hookah almost became uncomfortable outside. Almost.

It's inhabited by people who were Danish up until the 1700's but were forcibly converted to Swedes in one of the most impressive feats of genocide and imperialism ever seen.

Oh, and it's merely -17 centigrade right now (1.4 Fahrenheit). Practically summer. I am disappoint.

Scanian Swedish is badass because outsiders can't understand them.

    That's very interesting.
I have a small statue of the Copenhagen mermaid, and a tendency to quaff any drink in front of me, as a legacy from my Danish ancestors.
Also, enough body hair to make me wish for an ice age. But, damn, it sounds freezing up there.

We are up to -5 centigrade right now, so it's quite alright. But I expect it to drop to normal temperature during the week.
