Is there anyway to change the key-mapping at all? Essentially I want to be able to type in amounts of stuff I want to transfer (say bullets from a shop) but as macs don't have a numlock option and I'm too tight to buy an external keyboard to access a number pad I was hoping there might be someway to map keys for this. Or alternately is there some technique I'm missing (or have forgotten) to transfer amounts of things that allows you to do it in 10s or 100s?

EDIT: Annoyingly I found a way to make my keyboard have a numlock, but Arcanum still treats this as the standard number line at the top of the keyboard (despite having read it should have the correct numpad identity and that it doesn't just mimic the standard number line) - meaning I can only use it for text and not for setting amounts. So, the problem still stands.
