OK...so, according to sony, by downgrading their merchandise and giving you no options, they can increase their sales. Makes perfect sense to me. :roll:

 

That would be the case if Sony maintained monopoly, which it doesn't.

 

I think it's funny that they seem to believe it will be hard to get rid of the 60GB ones, who would want a console with 20 extra GB, backwards compatibility with PS2 games, a multimemory card port, and more than two USB ports?

 

I'm only talking in regards to their flagship console. I'm sure their overpriced PSP's are still selling like plastic coasters.

I think this could've been avoided if Sony just lowered the price. How much do they cost to make, anyway?
Also, if this pans out the way I think it will, they'll make even more money through peripherals and accessories...shit, that answers my question. Why bundle everything on a complete PS3 when you can rape the consumer with surcharges?

 

But what if the consumers just don't buy the little techno-bombs?

 

we're not buying one. almost every game for it is coming out for the 360 as well, and we got one of those for free. the only real exception is the FFs, and that's not a good enough reason to spend $600.

 

So is the verdict then that Sony fails like an e-head in advanced calculus?

Can't they tell Sony that there was a mistake, and that the copy was sold long ago but they forgot to remove it from the online catalogue?
