Listen you 2, this is a PUBLIC forum, I can drag the threads out untill the earth cracks open if I so desire. If you dont like it, then dont come here no more. I have some expierence and knowleage in this game and I want to share it. Now if you got a problem with that, then I sugest you leave.

 

Do you really believe that digging up months old threads that noone remembers are helping anybody?
To me it seems that you´re just trying to increase your number of posted messages as fast as possibel. The problem is that in doing so, you´re drowning the forum in useless information.
I may be wrong on this, but that´s the way it appears to me.

Ty, and if the clowns that are complaining about my dragging up old topics dont like it, heres a tip. Contact the topic's startr and ask them to DELETE the thread. If you are too lazy to do that....well thats just pathetic.

 

only a medarator can delete topics if someone other than the user posted after him.

look man, We are asking you nicely, there is no point, so why do it? Simply because you can? so you can show us you can? First off, this isn't a public forum. It's a privately owned forum which is accessible to the public.

When you use the forum, you are in essence a guest at the admin's website. We all are. You are not constitutionally entitled to post here. In case you missed it, that guy up there that asked you nicely to stop is the owner of the site.

You are a guest, so play by the rules. You wouldn't like it if someone came over to your house and took a shit on the floor, all the while saying "This is a public floor, so I can do what I want! If you don't like it, you can (A)Go somewhere else, or (B)Don't look at my turd."

You wouldn't like it if we did that, so return the favor and don't do it here. Not because you can't. Don't do it because there's no need to do it, and it's just common courtesy.

See, we aren't you. That's why we are complaining. Perhaps you should have said "If I was in your position...", but you didn't. Let's put it this way - Calis is the guy who owns the site, if HE doesn't like it, HE can ban your account, and if he doesn't do that, then according to your rules, we can just heap shit on everything you say. What the hell are you, some kind of homie arsehole with access to a computer and the internet?

If you aren't, you're certainly acting like the immature, pre-pubescent young teenager that you probably are. If not, seek help.

While I have also been surprised at some of the old tat that YeaYea seemed to want to drag up (VERY surprised in those cases where he seemed to be directly responding to a user who stopped posting months earlier), and I would certainly not encourage his belligerent attitude or his feeling that access to the fruit of Calis and Co's hard work is somehow YeaYea's birthright, I'd like to remind everyone that it's not uncommmon for people to be told "Try searching old topics before asking questions we've been over a thousand times."

Personally, I don't care either way. Threads are there to be ignored. Reading enough to know you don't wanna read more doesn't take long, so people can pretty much spawn or resurrect as they please. Since Calis has now given an official line, I'll respect that, but let's not get into a situation where novice users are chastised (publicly) for infringing conventions they have no reason to be aware of.

Also, can we bear in mind that some users are novice users of the internet and could be unaware of all kinds of conventions/faux pas. I'm not really too keen on these people being given the impression that the Internet is a hostile place full bullies, jerks and a minefield of do's and don'ts (even though it is :grin: ), because I like the idea of Internet growth (because it pays my wages :wink: ).
