Just bought it.....have problem!

Hello forum and thanks for checking out my post. I have just bought Arcanum yesterday and have just started playing today. I already ran into a few bugs and had to reinstall my game twice. I am now playing in safe mode (and sucking it up). Now i dont care right now about performance. I am tired of worrying about performance. I have just gotton off of a 3 month run of Ultima IX Ascension...and all i want to do is play something fresh and new that wont drive me insane with singe player lag due to performance issues. *Whew*..thanks for letting me vent. Okay, now my problem is the VERY beginning of the game. HOW THE FUCK DO I GET PAST THE DAMN WOLVES AFTER THE CRASH SITE. My follower and i are constantly getting killed by them. I have a shotgun wielding half-elf and REFUSE to start over and sell MY character out just to have a specific spell or something to get past them. So what am i missing? shortcut? passageway? weapon?

That is not a bug it is just that you character is not too skilled.If you can not kill them then run away from them.It works for me intill my fatigue runs out.

 

And download the latest patch!

You probably didn't distribute your CPs right so you're too weak. Just run around killing ailing wolves - they're really easy. Then you should have no problems with kite shaman or ordinary wolf.

 

Do not try to kill the wolves, they are extremely strong and will waste low level characters. All you need to do is press that world map button right at the top of the screen on the left hand side. It is the blue globe.

 

I made it past them with a half-ogre character carrying a fine steel dagger. I had to rest a couple of times. Great XP for killing them.

 

Also there is easy combat difficulty thing in the options, for wimps. :smile:

 

I never use the easy difficulty. It makes things too easy. I hate easy games!
