Well, I may be ridiculing myself by unleashing my total ignorance in many computer games on you people, but I had to ask... What was that about?
As you know, it was Interplay who released fallout. Some time later, during FO 2 development, most of the people behind part 1 left, more specifically Tim Cain, Leon Boyarski and Jason Anderson. They are the three principles who formed Troika. Ok, that's it for the history lesson. The fallout game wasn't doing well without these people and recently, Interplay decided that it's best to create a sloppy console game instead of a CRPG. They hired Mr. Chuck Cuevas as producer. (he was Chris Avellone's bagle boy during a previous FO project) However, Interplay is in such a financial hole that the entire fallout 3 team left when their work got canned and the remnants sent off to do console projects. Poor Chuck wasn't saved, even though he wasn't working on FO 3. And when I wrote financial hole I meant it. When Fargo left, the company was worth 200 million. Now it's worth 10x less and last time I checked they had a whopping 7000$ in their reserves
Are we sure the Brotherhood of Steel game is going to suck? While I'm sure I'll be ridiculed, I like Dark Alliance and own it on my PS2. Supposedly Brotherhood of Steel is Dark Alliance with guns and auto-target, so I can't see how it could be all that bad.
