So, the first one is a clever spam bot. The second one seems to be a bot designed to initiate conversation...?

 

I'm beginning to fear that the Internet is a digital primordial soup and that code fragments are beginning to combine to form sentient beings that desperately desire to connect with us.

 

I am starting to think the same thing, TDC. It seems that all the spam code that has popped up over the last 15-20 years has begun to self-replicate and become sentient.
