Tea doesn't have more caffeine then coffee

Tea doesn't have more caffeine per cup then coffee. per pound tea has more but you don't use anywhere near as much tea to make a cup of tea then you use coffee grounds to make coffee.

and besides there is nothing better to put irish wiskey into then coffee.

Ah... tea cups are better too. Besides I like strong tea so it's heavy on caffeine I guess.

I'm still wondering about that Russian Caravan... I don't think there were any caravans in Russia in a long time. At least not with camels. :p

And Jar... so what happened to Fosters?.. I never tried it myself... but the commercial over here in US is terrible... I think it's some yank imitating strong Australian accent... and doing a poor job too.

how to the kinds of cup matter.

per 7oz. coffee has more caffiene that tea in an water based solution. How long you let the tea seep dosen't really matter. Also the chemical make up's differ so that tea will relax you more while coffee will stimulate more you I will post the research if you want.

I really don't care which one you like more or why I am just correcting your mistake about the amount of caffene in coffee in relation to tea.

I drink tea all the time. When I was in Turkey, that is where I drank *real* tea for the first time. It has been my first choice for a drink from then on. I drink 8 mugs a day. You can call me a tea addict. My favourite are Lipton and Pickwick. But these are the ready teabags ones. I mostly visit herb shops and compose my own blends.

Turkeys have their own country?.. Interesting.

As for weed mixing, Jinxed, don't get carried away.

Turkey's pretty cool - I've been to Istanbul, Troy and Gallipoli, and that was great.

loo, Foster's just lost popularity over here, big time. It still does sponsorships at Formula 1 races, but you won't hear anyone say "Foster's is great, best beer I've ever had!"

I hate it when people trot out the old "tea has more caffeine than coffee" bollacks. It's just isn't true, but somehow the myth entered "common knowledge" and stuck.

Lysa looked it up last night. She showed me some figures. I'm not sure what site she was at, but here's the first one I came to giving caffeine content for drinks. As you'll see, coffee is waaayyyyy out in front, even ahead of the notorious caffeine products like Jolt.

Caffeine only affects you for five minutes anyway, so I don't know what the big deal is. How did those energy drinks like Red Bull and things like that rate against coffee Fatman?

I heard a nasty rumor that Red Bull actually contained bull semen. Is there any truth to that?

Vodka and Red Bull was the only short I'd touch at one point. I found the caffeine straightened me out from the booze. I could literally drink it all night and still not be falling over (I'd get the usual recklessness, but I'd not feel woozy or anything). After years of getting drnuk on lager or cider, it seemed like a miracle to have found a drink with the good stuff but not the bad.

Then, after a few years of me getting regularly drunk on it, during which time I spent an unusual (for me) amount of time in clubs boogying away, I read this article about three people in Sweden whose deaths had been linked to Red Bull. Towadrs the end of the article there was a quote from some official or other saying that Red Bull was perfectly safe, as long as it wasn't taken with alcohol or after violent exercise!

Now, this is all probably one of those urban myth jobbies, but I decided to play it safe and give the VaRB's a rest.

Hmm.... Well about tea and coffee... I just heard someone say it somewhere and thought it'd be funny. I didn't really have an opinion myself, but then I looked it up, right after I posted it... and well, coffee was ahead. But Tea is still better... red bull is nice too.

Not really. If you have heart conditions, then you are in heaps more danger. However, if you have 3 or 4 Red Bulls in several hours, then you can be at the same risk as someone with a heart condition. A lady over here died a while ago because she had a heart condition, and the caffeine overloaded her system...

Blimey! 3 or 4 in an hour was about what I was on. Plus the vodka, of course.

I'm not kidding when I say I used to get funny little feelings in my chest halfway through really heavy sessions. I hope I haven't done any permanent damage ...

Jeez, you guys... Why don't you all just cut to the chase and start mainlining amphetamines?

It'll give you that extra pep that you need to feverishly pick at the imaginary blackheads on your face for hours on end.

Did I hear Jar Impune the honor of great american beers? (that is said with a Col. Sanders accent)Granted I don't know what US beers you can get in Aust. some of my favorites are Rogue, Full Sail, Fat Tire, Tractor, Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and of course my own stuff. If you are getting Bud, Miller, Coors then yeah that only comes out during the Super Bowl I gotta look the part.
