... but Duke Nukem Forever is apparently out. Anyone tried it? Is it any good? Of course, given its long tenure as an Internet joke this will be a number one priority game to buy once I get around buying a new computer.
According to metacritic it has a 56 rating. And on gamefaqs it has a 7.0 out of 54 reviews. With how long it's been hyped, there's no way this will ever get decent reviews.
I wasn't really a fan of the older games, I liked the idea of them more than the actual application of them. Saw an ad on TV the other day for it, it just had "made by 12 year olds for 12 year olds" written all over it.
Duke Nukem Forever turned out to be a typical console shooter, with health regeneration, being able to carry only two weapons at a time, extremely linear level design and non-existent difficulty.
Not terrible, just completely mediocre. You can't carry a game on a name alone. I will say this for it though. The series changed more between entries then modern warfare.
If it took fifteen years for Modern Warfare to cycle, it would change dramatically with each installment, too.
I wouldn't take that bet. 2025 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 10, Now you can SEE THE PORES ON YOUR ENEMIES FACES AS YOU SHOOT THEM.
What a guy! He doesn't know for sure, but he's willing to take a leap of faith! Or, rather, a leap to faith... by faith...
Well you see, being a Nigerian Prince and all, I can easily afford it, what with the massive piles of gold lying around my palace constructed entirely out of diamond encrusted silver bricks. So, all I need are your bank account and pin numbers, and we can totally get this thing rolling. Also, this is totally not a scam, because I'm a Nigerian Prince, and we're known for our honesty and legal dealings. So just sit back, send me the info, and ignore any phonecalls or letters from your bank saying your account has been emptied. That's standard procedure for African Investments.
