So I thought it would be wrong to divide the homophobes from the progressive free-thinkers once and for all. I'm not sure if I made this in order to be annoying, or to really strike up any debate (well obviously I'm striking up a debate, but I'm not sure if I'll even take part in it) but I really was just thinking about it, and whatever. Please forgive me if it seems noob-ish of me. I mean, we have the "religious thread" gong, and we've also got the political thread, and the joke thread, but T-A just doesn't seem the same without the Homophobia thread. So lets go motherfuckers. In other news, me and a friend are driving up to Boston this weekend to get married in protest. We're not gay, but we're into equal rights. ok, so i'm not actually going through with the whole marriage thing, but lets assume I am just for the sake of debate I really miss labyrinthian.
How 'bout we don't assume it for the debate, we just assume you're a jackass. Gay marriages should be legal so when they cheat on their spouses they get to get divorced and lose all their shit just like every other hard working person in this country. I figure, if we're trying to blow people up all over the globe, why are we worrying about discriminating here. If we settled the abortion, gay rights, and civil rights issues once and for all, we could all unite in peace to bring devastation and violence to all the world. Oh happy day...
Ok so I lied. This post was less about gay marriages, and more about how I thought it was funny that the general discussion seemed to be missing somehting lately, and then I realized what it was... Anyway. I seriously don't care about marriages anyway, because I don't ever want to pay taxes, and I don't care if an organized religion recognizes my philosophical romantic union with another human being.
Well, in all seriousness, I need a real income first. I have $6.35 in my account right now. I just got my first check from my new job at one of www.spokesetc.com 's Vienna, VA location, but thats only 292.50 for 42 hours. When I say I don't want to pay taxes, I mean I wish I still had the 30 bucks the state took from that check for 292. My net income was $320 and change, but no, apparently I need to pay social security, medicare, and something called FICA. Oh well. I need money, but I wish I didn't. May be I'll start commuting by bicycle... gas prices aren't quite european, but I think American society demands that I drive too much, I need to break that habit... I'm also thinking about becoming a pescatarian... <edit> oh yeah, I'm not a communist. I'm a socialist, and possibly an anarchist, depending on how you want to look at it. I'm not naive, I just think its better to want to try for utopia than it is to give up on a perfect society and accept what you know is wrong.
gays should eb allowed to marry legally, but it should be left up to indivdual religions to decide if they can marry in the church. that way, it's separate AND equal.
