    We're all doomed!

Or is it the best thing since sliced bread?

I guess only time can tell. Haven't really followed this election, all I know is that Schwarzenegger thought Obama was too skinny to become president. I suppose that presidential steroids ought to be constitutional.

As a conservative American, I can say that regardless of what happened with the election, anything will better than Bush.

Thank the god(s) that I am not one of those crazy Conspiracy theorists, but you could say that this Alex Jones, or Paul Joseph Watson, are probally one of those parade horses for people who are still thinking that 9/11 was staged.

Perhaps you should'nt quit the army, in case of war, we probally need guys like you.

PS: What do you think, what for kind of international crisis we gonna get, with now Obama as president?

Personally, I'm quite pleased that Obama got in, but I'm also astounded that he managed to defeat the Religious Right. I mean, HOLY FUCK!

Perhaps time will tell, but I have still a bad feeling about this.

That's indeed astounding, because everyone thought, that the Religious Right had the best cards.

Well with K. Rudd lining up to be Obama's lapdog living in this country just got all the more unbearable.

Lousy american politics affecting other countries....

Meh. The real importance of this month is Left 4 Dead being released.

I wasn't aware this board was so full or republicans :/
On the other hand I may not judge seeing I am a foreigner for USA. However, I know many people around Europe rather see Obama, even if he is for weapons, death penalty and (in particular for my country) against gay marriage.
Still, to own their own opinion and that is the great thing of democracy :)

Maybe that's why I like it so much around here!

Actually, this board is full of Ghandi's, if you looked at the political spectrum thread at all. Japes and myself were like the only regulars who weren't crazy leftist/socialistic if memory serves.

    Assassination of US President.

I'm surprised everybody here is so mad about Obama winning. I always liked the guy, moreso than McCain at any rate. I'm more of a moderate-liberal, so maybe that's why I can sympathize more with him.

I'm afraid of the religious right and McCain, so I'm pretty fucking relieved with Obama winning the election.

I was wondering when this thread would start. Now I know which direction to turn and run in and never look back. Fuck politics.

    Hey, just a thought:

The series 24 was written under the pretense that it would be set in a FICTIONAL future, because the writers didn't foresee a black president any time soon... til now.

    Just a thought.

Hey, the president guy from 24 looks a little like Obama.

What makes me sad is the face the most part of todays newspaper was in one way or another related to the US election.

Could anyone tell me then, what I am on the political spectrum?

Then Obama has to watch out, with whom he shaking hands with. Now what if Obama got killed, who shall follow him up, Joe Biden, or is it McCain?
