Item identification in the vicinity of Tarant

First of all, I'd like to avoid any extra spoilers. I'm currently in Tarant, Level 19 with three followers (Virgil, Msomething and Gar.) I skipped going to Dernholm so far because it was out of the way and I figured it was dangerous to go there immediately. I had attempted to conquer the Black Mountain Clan area, and got a ways in before I went through 200 bullets and realized it was past time to leave. Whew, the main quests sure took a turn for the difficult there! But I digress. Then I decided to go ahead and try my hand at the various subquests not in the city of Tarant. Much easier.

So, returning from one such subquest, I had accumulated a few magic items. However, I don't really care to go all of the way back to Shrouded Hills in order to identify my items. So, when I'm in Tarant, where shall I go in order to do so? It feels like I've scoured the entire city for someone who can identify my items to no avail.

Unless of course they're hiding in one of those buildings that cause my characters to not be alive anymore, or the southeast part of The Boil.

 

There is a Wise Woman in Tarant. Just go to the Dock area and walk East. You'll eventually come to a wall and outside it is a short lady with several animals around her. She will identify stuff for you.
You can also sell stuff to shopkeepers and buy it back to get things identified. This is very expensive though so I don't recommend it.

Dernholm is less dangerous than SH i went there when i was level 2 and had no problems at all.

 

except when your travelling there you run into the 2 golden bears!

This is very easy to do and anyone can do it!! Ok before you are going to travel save the game.
and travel a little towards where you want to go then stop and save the game if you find a monster reload your game and keep on doing this until you get to your distination this is great if you don't won't to fight any enermys because you are either to weak to kill them or don't want experence when traveling!!! :razz:

Slim Pickin's? That's a rural general store. Rural general stores don't sell scrolls of teleportation.

Is there really anything anyone can say about this that couldn't be interpreted as offensive to Ratster? Because I personally can't think of anything nice to say right now.
