Maybe it’s just my computer but I think I still needs some work. Mostly that some of the words are just floating in the middle of no ware. Some things you could try… 1.) Make the links look like gold buttons, so they would match the header. 2.) Expand the border to make a solid ring around the links. 3.) Use what you have now as the sides, putting one on both sides and centering the wording. 4.) ?-It looks kind of boring maybe put a broken pipe or smokestack on it with steam, smoke, or fire coming out of it. Or just add a little color.
It still needs some work, yes. But it looks much better; I'll give it a "great" for the time being. I agree with "2.) Expand the border to make a solid ring around the links." I wouldn't really fancy golden buttons, but if it must be, it must be. Maybe not golden, but... Something darker? (Baal, you sound... different... Maybe because now you're a veteran? ^_^.)
It might be because DU is working on it, but on my monitor it's not looking too good. All the links are in square brackets where I guess there should be proper buttons, and about half of the links are outside the header itself. Also, half of the top of the page is in a lighter grey than the rest of the background.
Same here. The header should be made a little bigger so that it 'embraces' the links. And the grey part should just be black like all the rest. Well, imho, that is. Not bad, though. I noticed the change immediately.
You all seriously over-estimate my ability to do graphics. The reason there's no complete circle is because it's the old image made by Monkey which I had to cut out to add the links into... because I didn't have the mad skills to add the extra linkage to the existing image. I'll see what I can do though... I'll fix that grey too. Put that down to my lousy dark monitor.

I have to join the bandwagon and say it looks a lot better now. Good job DU! Still don't know about the bracketed links though, but it's not like I'm a wandering storehouse of good suggestions either, and after all, the current setup works. Then there's the question whether the background of the links should remain black or if we should have something else there. While we're at it, we should also seriously consider why I'm giving all these nonsensical suggestions and why I'm not simply shutting up instead.
A cool font I found a long time ago. I know it doesn’t match the sight but if any one wants it I can just zip all the images and e-mail them to you. And DU you missed a spot, That lighter color is still there. Theres a small box of it just under the end of the header. It looks much better now. And the other one...
I totally agree with rosenshyne. Yours was a really nice birthday gift, DU. And DE, some of us want to hear you! ^_^. (Then again, maybe the VIP won't want to hear you, but I will.) Baal, should I send you a PM with my e-mail address to get your fonts?
Overall I think it's a lot nicer than the old space crap that used to be up there. I'll toy around with a background image / colour of some-sort at some point in time and see what happens.
I should have said there letter images, but I sent a good number of fonts with it. As well as some extra lettering types. The .ZIP file should be about 1.45 MB (1,523,712 bytes).
