Rosie for some reason thinks a lie alot. I for one think she's crazy and has been holed up in her zombie fortress too long. . Anyway here's the situation.

I own two Playstation 2. One is the old and big one, the other is the new and tiny one. My platoon knows about my old big playstation but the new tiny one is a secret. One day my old playstation breaks and I'm forced to use the new one. People will notice the change and ask where I got it.

Here is what I did and want to know if it counts as lying.

A guy in my platoon named Hand also owns the new tiny playstation. I go to Hand and say,"Can I borrow your playstation anytime I want. I will NEVER USE IT, but would just like the permission to use it." He doesn't understand the point, but since he's nice he says yes. Now that I have aquired his permission I go and hook up my new tiny playstation and start playing. Eventually someone comes up and ask,"Hey, I thought you had the big playstation. Where did you get the tiny one." My response is," Hand said I could borrow his."

I didn't say i borrowed it, only that i could borrow it, completly avoiding the question and giving a answer that appeased the nosey person.

    Is that lying?

That is an honest statement, but a kind of twisted one. You're speaking the truth, but not about YOUR playstation 2.

I think that is sorta lying, but I don't think it's wrong if you're gonna be in trouble for having the tiny PS2.

How's life, fish? When are you coming back home?

    Lying
    1. To present false information with the intention of deceiving.
    2. To convey a false image or impression: Appearances often lie.

Yes. Your obvious intention is to imply that you do not have a tiny PlayStation 2, yet you do.

What kind of name is Hand anyway? ... and Hand's surname, it's not Job perchance?

No, I'm not home yet. I still have to rot in Iraq for 7 more days.

Also Hand is a mormon name. And since they don't believe in self pleasure Hand Job is out of the question. It was the goal of are unit to get him to masterbate and we secretly planted porn in all his stuff everyday. The plan was a success since we physically caught him jerking off three times. Hurray for boredom.

    He denies it though.

Don't worry, I won't die. They had their chance when they blew up my truck with a ied and when we got back from that patrol 60mm mortor landed in my living space right between my bed. Luckily it didn't explode and it happened as i was walking to the tent. I did have a nice sun roof though.

And Hand is still with us. Mormon and all.

I'm sure you need Hand, especially for those long, lonely nights...

[Edit: Yes, I know, it was terrible...]

Use Hand when you need a job done.

If the job's worth doing, you need Hand.

Only Hand can do the job right.
