Is there a schematic for sheet metal in Car Arcanum?

Which reminds me, I really need to play Car Arcanum one day as to expand my Arcanum experience. Don't know why I haven't done so before, guess there's just something with me and third party mods in general (Chris, of course, deserves all the kudos he could get).

Considering that you don't need to have Car Arcanum to make your own schematics, you probably don't need to play it at all.

For those of us who would be interested in creating our own scematics, is there a document which explains the whole process?

Now I'm just trying to find the resting place of those art files for the schematics. There's got to be one that looks more like sheet metal than the flow disruptor...

Peter Quincy: There seems to be no single source for information. That includes World Ed and AMTUT. Don't let that stop you though - the schematic pages are actually pretty self-explanatory.

Gross: There is nothing available that's closer than the flow disrupter to represent any form of sheet metal. The file you're looking for is in the Arcanum1.dat\art\interface. Use Redview on those ART files and you'll see what I mean.

Actually the proto number of the schematic is responsible for this.
If you were to make a brand new schematic (new proto number) with the exact same ingredients as your current one you would find that it ends up in the Herbology tab.
It's unfortunate that it works this way as I have added several dozen new schematics and they all end up in Herbology.

Rroyo is right, there is nothing remotely like sheet metal.
As for viewing the interface art, there is a slightly easier way of doing this (in my opinion anyway).
    Open WorldEd.
Right click on a plant (or anything)
    Select Edit
Click the plant image in the new window
Click the top left box called "unknown"
Click the image again which now says "empty"
Select interface from the top menu called "list"
    Click OK

Perhaps that sounds complicated but it takes me roughly 1 second.

    I stand corrected, TONGS.

A few days ago, I took the build computer into the shop for some tweaking and mentioned the problem I was having with BMPtoART. He simply said "Uhhh..." then buzzed through several sections and did something with the keyboard. Whatever he did worked because the program now works!

I'll be the first to admit I'm a lousy artist so this is the best of about 30 efforts to create a new schematic page using Arcanum artwork:

Would anyone be interested in the ART file? Drop me a line if you are.

Well...since I edited one of Chris's "gemology" schematics, and those are always up top in the herbology discipline, I'm not sure how the sheet metal ended up in the Smithy tab.
As for the sheet metal art, I'm interested.

Please excuse my rampant idiocy. I was talking complete bollocks. We'll blame it on the drinking the night before. Here's an explanation from a rather more reliable, intelligent and handsome source:
