Did you notice that the Pyro axe has the appearance of a neutral weapon? I mean that wooden shield background thingy, instead of a mechanical or a magickal one. I wonder if it also works like a neutral weapon. Maybe a mage with a pyro axe is not a hopeless idea?
Well, considering Milos' reply in this topic... http://www.terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=9603 ... I suppose a mage with a Pyro Axe would have the same estatimated lifetime as a sugar cube in an antheap .
That's no proof. Virgil is the kind of fighter who can accidentally cut his own foot off with anything, including his own bare hands  Going to give Dante a pyro axe as soon as I'm back in Tarant, and see how it goes...
wont someone just mod in a pyro axe and hack a powerful mage fighter so we can just figure this thing out once and for all?
Yet another useful post. You're in cahoots with Blinky, aren't you. Solaris, I always forget whether you run patched or unpatched. In my patched, unmodded English version the pyro axe is always very much a tech weapon. Here's a screenshot which shows it with the tech icon, and with the usual tech aptitude adj. for critical failure indicator. If you like, I'll go get Dante or Raven or whomever and post a shot of their high critical failure adjustment. This isn't the first time I've heard this, though. At the Sierra boards somebody brings this up once in a while, which is why I was wondering whether you were patched. Maybe it's a "feature" of the unpatched or foreign version, dunno.
Well, I SUPPOSE I could, although a great man like me can rarely be troubled my such frivolties, I have cookies to eat To I can check it out, but I have noticed a bunch of things that should be one way and are somewhat off. I should have written them down and tested them.
Solaris runs unpatched IIRC. In my someday I must list; install an unpatched game so I can test things out there.
Yup he's dead. Poor guy. I AM patched though, so that might be the descrepency between us. In that little section about all the little missed things in the game though, I have noticed that the lack of renaming containers sreads far beyond the 3 in the Hall of Records. All of crap is still called wood chest and it's like a dresser or a bookcase, etc.
My fave for amusingly named objects is the boat you take to Pete, which has the ever descriptive, wonderfully poetic appellation "large wood object." Oh, er, um, or something like that. And most trapdoors are just "wood object." And of course, there's my favorite charcter, "wall." Once all my characters became "wall." If these walls could talk...
i dont know chalupa, some may say that it was the melon that did it. poor deliscious nipples? fighting wombats against a backdrop of bleeding crimson skies?
Sleek, that made no sense.... your talking about Chulupas nipples battling wombats in the crimson sky? uhh... I feel so confused.... anyone else notice that the tyme is set to like Tahiti or somewhere? it's like really far away... and who cares what the boats and buildings are labeled as? if it bugs you so much then go in, mod it, and create a patch that'll fix it for the rest of us lazy bastards. edit: 1. I know I quoted that, I just felt like it, don't ask. 2.The Pyro axe isn't a neutral, I have the patched version 1074, and it shows up as tech.
No, it became the babble inchorently thread when Jeek joined it. As Usual. Uh... can you send us a photo of your nipples battleing... etc?
