I want to build myself a house. I know how to use worlded, but i want to make a house instead of stealing then all the time lol. I know "own" ;D 3 houses +1 inn lol.
Yes it is. Get the undat utilities (links available in the site feedback section). Undat the .dat files. Open up the main map in WorldEd. Enter the coordinates for Tarant. Edit Tarant. Compress the files. Play with your new map.
Thxs and will all of my stuff disapear? in my chest i mean. they are in 3 houses and I just moved the stuff from the inn to that warehouse down south by the tarant docks. And Should Make my own Corrdanants and location if It will?
Still doesn't work OK I'm also having problems with this. Here's what I did: (running patched game 1074) 1/ Created a folder called mod_undat in Arcanum/Modules 2/ Copied Arcanum.dat and renamed it new_arcanum.dat 3/ Used Arcanun_v1 to undat it (tried dbmaker first, just gave me a huge file called 'u'). Got all the folders (maps, mes etc) in Arcanum/Modules/mod_undat. 4/ Load WorldEd (1070). 5/ Open the map Arcanum1-024-fixed 6/ Go to coordinates 972, 1024. All I see is a load of 'red-hatched' tiles in the place the city is meant to be. The rest of the map is fine. I tried doing Tools->Generate Town Map->Tarant and it doesn't change a thing. I can load interior maps (Tarant sewers, etc) fine. What am I doing wrong?
Changed the start location to Tarant center. Busy compressing it to see if it works in-game. I'll let you know if it works...
OK. I am not getting an art or dialog files in my undat. The module starts up fine, just there are no folders/files to edit. Why?
To answer my own question, need to undat Arcanum2.dat and Arcanum3.dat. Well I've given up. The file sizes of modules are gigantic and it is just more complicated than it is worth to make the small additions I wanted
