Is Arcanam in a window with XP Possible?

    I am playing in XP and it doesn't seem possible to run in windowed mode. I have RClicked the ShortCut for Properties and right added the command after the exe file, 'Arcanum.exe -window', saved, exited and LClicked with the result that it crashes on start up.

    Has anyone had success running Arcanum in a window and are there any hints on how?

    Are you using the GOG version? Delete the "ddraw.dll" which they put in the game folder.

    Wow!

    I have searched the forum and not seen this trick before and it WORKS! I like to be able to hop onto my second monitor to check the manual or make notes and now I can. In the past Alt+Tab seemed to mess up the hot keys, but in a fast test this was not the case now.
