Hi everyone, been lurking here on and off, finally made an account cause I've reached boiling point with frustration today... arherm.... I've played this game before but that was years ago, decided to pick it up again and made a diplomatic character no tech skills at all. I have no trouble combining ingredients with Magnus (or Sebastian when I had him) to make stuff, but I DO have trouble making something myself. Now I *know* that I can't use most found schematics myself since I have no tech skills whatsoever and most found schematics require high skills in things, however supposedly you need no tech skills in order to make the iron key schematic... Well... I can't seem to be able to make it, maybe I am missing something? So I am here for help.. Basically I learn the Ancient Schematic, have mithril and a heartstone in my inventory, click on the tech button bottom right of the screen and check out my schematics... can't find the iron key anywhere. I subsequently click on the 'found schematics' button, but nothing changes. Any advice please??
Have you checked all the disciplines (click on the small icons on the right)? It should be there somewhere.
Unfortunately yes, I have. I first checked smithy (where I was expecting it to pop up) and when I didn't find it there I carefully checked all of them...
If you have an earlier save, try reloading and learning the schematic again. It should appear under "found schematics", no matter your skills.
Thank you that worked, don't know what sort of weirdo bug this was... I guess I could always have tried to spend a fate point to unlock the chest, but I am one of those err.. completist types and really wanted to make the key Thanks for your help.
