Invisible Virgil

So I went to the sobbing onion after reading that's where I could find Virgil. He was dead, so I ressurected him. Now he's invisible, but worse yet, he's laggy. He seems to have no sprites except when he's running he'll glitch in and out of existence. He's still there for all intents and purposes and can cast spells, hit things ETC. But he can't wear any armor. And he's laggy! I can't look at him without my game going skippity doo da.
I'm considering just killing him again and leaving him there.

Please help.
