We would, but you lied to us when you claimed you could land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun.

It is mainly the gratuitous nature of your awesome-sauce compliment that rankles me so. I can appreciate your loyalty to your friend in- and out-of-game as it were, but my impression of a compliment is that it is given in response to a particular quality well-executed, be it an athletic feat, work of art, or appealing haircut. Compliments dished out for merely being strike me as acts of sucking up, and therein is where I saw the contradiction of your post.
I also appreciate you taking my citation of you in stride. Not that you typically portray yourself as over-sensitive, but I did not want to give you the impression that I was calling you out simply for the sake of calling you out.

Gravy = Win. Mmmmmm, gravy. Good gravy, mind you, not the shitty fast-food or packet stuff. REAL gravy made by someone who knows what they're doing, poured all over roast lamb and potatoes...

FUCK I made myself hungry again.

    That's exactly the thing.
    Homemade from fresh drippings.

Try using the low-sodium Cream of Mushroom soup as a base sometime - straight out of the can.
This works especially well with pork steaks. Quick-fry the steaks, then let them slow-simmer in the gravy for a couple hours.
The meat comes out falling off the bone, and the gravy is fantastic on either potatoes or rice.

    I just made myself hungry.....

I just got done with breakfast and rroyo's recipe sounds good. I just happen to have used Campbell's Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom soup in a recipe last week. I'm still eating the leftovers.

Posting in a thread that went from Australia Fail to Fanboyism, to Gravy Discussions. WIN.

Is it taking you a long time to eat the left overs because there is a lot, or because they taste terrible though?

I really like Mushroom Soup, and it is always better then Bean Soup (Yuck, Bean Soup is disgusting.) Now how long can you keep the Mushroom Soup in your fridge?

I tend to prepare food in bulk, so I have quite a bit to slug through. Previous preparations of this same recipe have tasted better but there is nothing wrong with this batch.
