I do not know if this is the way the game should be, but I have found that when I try to pick pocket items from an "ENTANGLED" victim the results have been mostly success! And the suffering party doesn't consider ENTANGLE an agression! For example, The Amulet of N'Tala (+1 ST, +1 CN). It has become my common practice to deliver the goods (quest items) and instead of forcing the pick pocket with a fate point (of which I'm now running low) I just ENTANGLE the victim and then walk around to the back, and pick pocket them for the desired (even equiped) items. The only one that didn't work so smoothly was the Master of Throw. All others I tried have had very good results. Any comments?
i have never been one for learning nature spells, but i think ill have to try it sometime soon. but theres a much easirer way to get items from any person. you simply place the baneful guantlets on the ground next to them and wait until they pick them up. to do this, you have to make sure that your followers dont pick them up which they will try to do. once the person you want to rob picks up the guantlets, start talking to them (this makes it so they cant heal themselves) and wait until they die. once this is done, loot their body for the guantlets and whichever item you want, then if you need the character alive for some later event, you can ressurect them. ive never tried this on the master of throw, but ive heard that azram's star cant be pickpocketed, would this method work to get azram's star back?
Azram's Star CAN be pick pocketed. But not with the "ENTANLGE" method. You need to spend a fate point while doing it. That's how I got it. All others I have tried with the ENTANGLE do not need any fate points and it worked fine. The quest for the master of trap detection provides what I think is the best item in the game - a Staff that IDENTIFIES & TELEPORTS! This I got back with the ENTANGLE method. No harm done to anyone. 0
No quest, you can get it from location W: 750 S : 556 , you can't straight away click on it, so click near it walk the rest of the way. And be prepared to fight.
Well, I got. I easily "found" it last night after going to the co-ordinates that gambit kindly offered. Who was wanderat at that section of the map to find it, I don't know. Why they where there? I don't know. Anyway ... In my opinion I prefer the range and speed of Azram's Star (which is strikingly familiar to Krull's weapon, the Glaive). The Yo-Yo pack some punch, yes, but it's slower and you have to be in close range. I like to get them as they run trying to get me. Thanks for the tip, anyway. It's safely stored away in my hideout for the good of the chickens. Mhhhhh.... Maybe I can resurrect the chickens.... I really don't like animal cruelty.
Those of us who are devoted to technology always go for the yo-yo, I've retrieved the star and played with it for a while, but it's got yucky magic on it. Plus I love the cool sound when you equip the yo-yo. Which reminds me of something I wanted to post.......
The Star can be pickpocketed, it can take a lot of F7s & F8s. The decapitor is neutral & kills tech critters. Range is doubled for throwing masters.
for someone with no skill in pickpocket, it wont take lots of f7s & f8s, just one fp if the aeriel decapitater is not a tech weapon, im definitely gonna snag it as a backup weapon for my wonderful star
