Importing Characters between modules

Is it possible? I'd like to take my character from the main story and use him in other modules. I've tried copying different combinations of files from the Save folder of Arcanum and pasting them in the Save folders of subsequent modules but with no luck. The furthest I've gotten is to have the saved slot come up in the load screen with my character's picture in the window, but the game won't load when I tell it to. Can anyone help with this?

No, it won't work. I know exactly what you're talking about, because I've tried it myself. The best you might get is the game loading with your PC off of the world map on a patch of grass, with a naked merchant and a treasure chest full of all the itmes you can purchase at the start of the game.
Basically, every time you load up a certain mod for arcanum, you can only use characters that were created in that particular mod.
