I am trying to make a world for arcanum, but it's almost immpossible to get back to anything I'm working on. I could write down all the cordinates, but it would still help to be able to save and name a location so I can return there later.
If you are building a world to be used ONLY for single player games then just build near the center each time and make several maps. Then make your usage scripts teleport you to the different maps. However, this does not work in multiplayer mode. My tip there would be to build in a corner first and make sure you have paths to follow to your next area, and using the top down view helps navigate easier when you scroll around.
Write down the co-ordinates as you're doing, then, whenver you want to get there, type the coordinates in the box on the left and click on "set" or "set location" or whatever it is just below. Your screen will then jump to that position. It's the best way to do it. Particularly with big maps, towns and so on OR if you have a single player mod with a world map. EDIT: Here we go: Type in the co-ords and click set.
