So happy birthday to me. Also, I've moved from Stockholm to Linköping to study art. There's a lot of stuff going on in my life right now. What's happening in your life right now?
Countdown to school, Turco-Armenian border opening without Armenia retreating from Azeri territory thanks to *sarcasm* brilliant *sarcasm* Turkish diplomats, a few scandals, a few genocide demands in T-A... The usual.
What's happening? Not much. Still dragging my feet behind me at university, still not benchpressing as much as I would like to and still no black belt in sight. I guess that pretty much sums it all up.
I got a new job at a funny IT company recently, from the looks of things I may end up submitting my impression to The Daily WTF. I'm kicking 24 this month and that makes me feel damn old, especially with all these jailbaits loose on the streets now that school's started.
I'm currently retro-gaming. Playing every Sega, Sega Cd, Nintendo, and Atari game I own, which is a lot. I've almost beaten most of them, except the rare few that are fucking impossible. Stupid mother fucking jet landing in the God damn fucking ocean every cock sucking time. Oh, and I guess I go to work and have a family or something.
One game that vexed me endlessly as a child was StarWars: The Empire Strikes Back on the NES. The controls were wonky and the bosses took forever to kill. I had a 'turbo' controller back then, and even with that it literally took minutes of blaster fire to take down even the first wompa boss.
I'm currectly preparing for a make-up exam from plant physiology (yep, oversleeping a morning exam = oh joy), but after that I'm finally going to play an idiot in Fallout 2, and to add spice, give him the One Hander trait (and restrict him to pistols only), as well as the Jinxed trait, honour him with 1 point in Luck and play solo, with the single exception of the Pariah Dog and his additional Jinxed perk. Boy is that going to be FUN! *On a side note, seeing how infecting my GF with Fallout mania ended with success makes me so very proud these days.* Other than that, same old thing I guess. Oh and happy B-day, by the way. Don't forget to blow the candles!
Congrats on making it to 20, wolfie! I'm pushing 25 and feeling about 50, trying to keep up with pracs and assignments, packing to go home to my family and pets for the holidays, missing a friend who lives in Hobart now, and considering buying a million post-it notes for my plot wall. I just want November and the NaNo to get here. Neeeeeeeed to wriiiiiiite.
*wallows in old for a moment* Seesh! I'm turning 45 ... *re-does mental calculation* scratch that. I'm turning 46 next month and still procrastinating about going back to school to bring myself back up to a modern IT power curve. Congrats on the 20 mark Wolfsbane. And good luck with the whole Art thing.
Happy birthday, Wolfsbane! Just got back from Queensland, highlight of the trip was going through a 'haunted house' attraction in surfers - three young children wailing incessantly at (caged) corpses moving was rather hilarious... Although the twilight jewelry stand nearly sent me on a rampage. It was either that or hitting 2000 feet in a 1940's biplane and being scared shitless after seeing a slight petrol/oil leak before takeoff. Other than that, trying to sort everything else out for the Maritime College next year (in Launceston none the less) - uni accomodation is generally shit so I am currently looking for a couple of people to club over the head and drag into a shared house. It aint going well. Also praying to get this physics tutoring position at the end of the year so I'll have some bloody money to move. Congrats again!
