IGN have been busy little bees and brought us their impression of Bloodlines before the E3 event coming up in a few days. I found this part worth mentioning:
Since it's an RPG, you can expect a deep single-player side, but Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines will have a multiplayer component as well. While Troika wasn't giving away too much at this time, we did learn that there will be a vampires versus vampire hunters mode where you can play gun-wielding blood-suckers again undead killers who also happen to like carrying a gun or 12.

So, like in most other online CRPGs, the RPG element is stripped to the basic. While single player will be a rich RPG experience, multiplayer will probably be nothing more than your standard deathmatch. I've got nothing against this, in fact, it's how things should go, instead of pretending something else.

Source: RPG Codex
