i think i cocked up my game coz of some meddling with .mes

now all the shopkeepers wont buy anything from me!!! and the general store doesnt sell anything! is it because i changed the invensource and invensourcebuy?? i repaired the game but its still bad

and when u upgrade from the initial release version to 1074, ur old savegames will not be affected by some of the changes, does this apply to my case?

 

wouldn't you have to manually delete the above mentioned messed with .mes files and then reinstall I mean don't the ones in the rules folder (or mes folder as the case may be) override the ones already in the dat file

 

i dont want to delete them
i want shopkeepers to nuy any item and i want them to sell me new items
i deleted everything in the arcanum directory and reinstalled and put back the .mes

 

Did you manually edit the file?

If so double check the item numbers you added for typos (or start fresh and copy paste item numbers)

Also I think that some items are not available for sale and if you try to add them into invensource.mes it will cause no items to be available.

Another solution (perhaps simplest) would be to download the premade invensource.mes from ta downloads and use it instead It gives a hell of a lot of items after one sleep.

i re-installed and put in the invensource.mes and started a new charcacter
