While there is a tech equivalent for almost everything, there is no tech equivalent for hasten or teleport - both of which are very good and handy spells...

I think it is fairly even, because the flexibility of magick is countered by the fatigue cost...

It's not found schematics we should be talking about. Tech and Magic characters can use them, since all you need to do is buy enough tech manuals.

Learned schematics are the tech equivalent of spells, and are pretty pathetic in comparison. Don't get me wrong - I love playing tech - but the it's hard to think of a learned schematic that worth having, and can't be made by followers. The only two that come to mind are charged rings and molotovs, which can only be made by followers picked up quite a while into the game.

No. 34 on your list is a quest schematic and can't be built.

No. 47 is also for a quest and can be obtained without the schematic or built by someone else with the schematic.

Since you have the other quest schematics, why not include the Iron Key (which can be built with tech of 0)?

is nr. 44 really a reality? I thought it's fanfiction. Anyway, all the schems aren't worth bramihn crap if you don't know how to use them, and also, there is no really killer schems like spells, i.e disentigrate.
I agree there is alot, and it gives you fun experimenting and finding making the tech more enyoyable but still, since Troika forgot about the existance of SPELL COMPONENTS magic doesn't weight anything, and the tech can't carry all his inventions

Again, it's balanced out...tech doesn't require any upkeep...sleeping/resting won't cancel you're tech effects (provided they don't have a time limit).

What is the magick equivalent of the pyrotechnic axe? One of the best melee weapons in the game (if not the best), and magick character get bonus critical failures using it .

There's one more complication... When you learn a spell, you just *do* it. When you learn a schematic, you have to find the parts, have the expertise, the IN if it's a found schematic. And in most cases you'll need to put something together, to make an element of a newer schematic.

How easy do you think it easy to get all those parts, build them but then you have to increase your degree. After increasing it, there's intelligence. If you run out of the item, you need to look for the components and again and make the schematic again. With the spells, you just put points in there together with willpower and you have yourself some heavy spells. The more magick aptitude you have, the more damage or resistance you'll have.
