Well, it's finally happened. Evangelicals have finally realised no one likes them anymore. It's interesting to note that a few of the groups they parade against ranked higher than them on the survey. In fact, they only beat prostitutes, which is no surprise, as few people will willingly admit to having a high opinion of them. The article is actually quite funny, because not only are the results fairly accurate (from my point of view at least) but they're totally confused about it. They've got no idea why they're so unpopular, or why the more highly educated you are, the more likely you are to be a non-Christian and have a low opinion of the good ole fundamentalists. The best part - they ran this survey themselves. They get five brownie points for publishing the survey and the article.
A military officer was later quoted as saying: Damn, Billy, get me the gun, I reckon I can peg that one off from here... GO THE LESBIANS!
i find it curious that in the right hand column they use the describtive "it" instead of a "him" or "her" or even a "they", to describe the producers, kinda rude i thought.
I suppose that survey's results must've been really confusing for any lesbian prostitute lawyer evangelicals out there.
Well, it's not surprising to me in the least, Jar, that the non-Christian crowd doesn't like evangelicals. I claim to be a Christian, and I don't like them either. They seem phoney and irreverant. One evangelical was caught using an earpiece that was being used to transmit messages to him from his wife in the booth box. She was telling him the names of people and the rows that they were sitting on, their ailments, and their addresses, while the evangelist raised his arms, shouted, and proclaimed he was recieving a message from on High, and then he would call out the person's name, and walk right to them, and say, "Out, you [insert ailment or disease here]!!" I can't believe that people would use God as a means of ripping people off.
Well, the truth is this thing has been going on for around 2000 years or more. I heard from someone(i think from my church) saying many will claim to be Christ reincarnated as a Jew said he was the other Jews Messiah and they should take Israel back. So, inspired and thinking that man was the Messiah, they attacked Israel and of course, lost to the Muslims there at the time. When it was round execution time, they were given a chance to convert b4 dying. The "Messiah" was the first to convert! There were plenty of fake prophets tricking the Jews. No wonder they had such a hard time beleiving Jesus!
I agree, retard. Alot of Christian talk is spaltered with bad words or profane language, which it shouldn't be. The Bible says that the "Anti-Christ" will come, claiming he is a great prophet of God. He will be a well-liked man and will claim he wants peace for Isreal and unity for the world. He will eventually be killed, but will come back to life on the third day, causing many more people to believe in him. He will eventually become quite powerful as he tries to unite the world and becomes it's leader. During that time, God will send some judgements to Earth that will make people stuble and look for someone to lean on, so they will either turn to the Anti-Christ, or God. Eventually, the Anti-Christ will control the world's food/merchandise. He will require a chip be implanted into the hand/forhead for the ability to buy food and other items/resources. Anyone without the chip won't be able to buy/sell anything, but those with it, the Bible says, can never go to heaven. Eventually, he will search down and try to kill all the living Christians that are left, prefferably by beheading them. After awhile, war will break out again, and all but a quarter of the world's population (that is after the disasters of earthquakes, diseases, hail, and meteorites falling to earth that God will send) will be left. Then Jesus will come to earth and set things straight, for awhile. Everyone still alive will be taken to heaven (minus the Anti-Christ), and will live there with the saved and believers for 1000 years. The natural lifespan will be increased by a large ammount, but the not saved will still eventually die. After the 1000 years is up, God will let Satan (the devil) loose and he will cause deseption between the non-believers again. They will side with him, and will have a huge battle against God and the believers. God's side will win, casualtyless, and the opposing side will all be thrown into Hell. The believers will then be taken to the "new" earth as heaven comes down onto it. Time will stop, and everyone will live for all of eternity. Even writing this, it seems impossible, but that is just because it is too much for the human mind to grasp. I still believe it , though. I admit I, myself, really have to clean up my act, and I will start that here. I will try my best to be kinder and nicer to the people here at TA's HoL. I wonder why I was too blind/stupid to see it before... First of all, an apology. I'm sorry, specifically, Etalis, Jar, Snowmane, and Windmills for all the times I was ever mean/unkind to you. Also, I am sorry, Jinxed, for screwing up your board for so long. I will try my very best not to spam/flame anymore! I may need some help at times, however, because I still have trouble distinguishing spam from normal posts and flame from a joke. Please help. Thanks and sorry.
You're saying the Bible tells how the Anti-Christ will insert computer chips in everyone? Given that the Bible was written thousands of years ago, I find this extremely hard to believe. I also find it hard to believe that God would be against the dude who brings world peace.
Time for some well-placed sacrelige... *spit* "Go in the light of Nasrudin!" *spit* Man, you need a disclaimer for everything now...this used to be a whole lot nastier...
You're right, it doesnt say computer chip exactly.... It says he will insert his "mark" into people's hands and foreheads. I assume that these days, if he wanted to insert something to force buying and stuff, it would probably be a detectable computer chip.
Very, very literal interpretations of the Bible there. Jar, about the dude that brings world peace, it would be a false peace. A rise to power through "diplomatic" means with Adolph Hitler undertones. If you wanna take it literally. As for me, I don't buy into the "Left Behind" books, and the modern day view of "the end is near". I do believe the Bible, but I hesitate to take some man's view of how the world is going to end. I believe that there are some things that are beyond our understanding.
