HELLO is bitter a party of ONE or what!?

I was TRYING to be encouraging and Maybe TO YOU he is not a fighter But then YOU didn't type the message I DID. Personally for me a someone who has lived for closed to 38 years and NEVER had any kind of operation the thought of someone even THINKING about cutting me open is terrifing to say the least and If I survived it I would feel like a fighter just for having LET THEM do it and having recovered!

I'm not sure if you know this Jarnor but a heart operation is not a walk in the park at ANY age and having to live with a peace of metal stuck in your gut can't be much more fun. To me it takes a lot of guts to believe and trust in a fairly total GROUP of strangers to put you out and do what ever in the HOPE it will make you better and not make you WORST off then you are now.

So stop being so snippy I was just trying to give postive feed back to a stranger going through an emotional time.....

No, party of two. I agree with Jar. Not in a mean nasty way, just in the I don't agree with "you went to hospital and let people cut you open and now you're a fighter" way.

I mean, you just sit back, relax, let them hack open your body, cut out the bad bits, stick a few things in, stitch it up and then go back to bed, sleep and eat ice cream. Yes, it can be hard but, I don't really agree with you becoming a fighter just for having surgery.

Although, on your own point. You believe that doing so makes you a fighter. Jarinor disagrees and asked you why you believe that. I'm now saying I disagree, because I like to give my opinion.

I disagree. Think of all the laughter you can get walking around with fridge magnets stuck to your chest. That'd be loads of fun!

¹*gets down on knees and prays*
Please God, don't let this be true. Why do you torture me?

Hoho - Civ3 should be right up his alley, then. Don't blame us if you can't get him to look away from his laptop ror he mumbles incessantly about being attacked by Samurai.

From what i know of him, i'd classify Lance Armstrong as a fighter. Overcoming cancer and winning Tour de France 3 times in a row, pretty impressive. But it can still be hard to undergo operation and staying 4 weeks in the hospital, depending on what kind of person you are a'course. I wouldn't mind it though

    'ello Slug Bug! How're ye?

    So I am crazy...
    What else is new.

    His valve is titanium.
    I checked ...
    Magnets won't stick ...
    ... to my titanium watch.

So I guess I'll have to pin them to his chest instead.

    Another late follow-up:

I bought Medieval Total War yesterday and it looks excellent. It has a strategy/boardgame format along the lines of the old Romance of the Three Kingdom games. The battles are very like the old Warhammer Fantasy Battle computer games, which is a good thing.

I can't really recommend it yet, since I've only played the tutorials and am currently reading the manual (you heard me, reading the manual) but I have good feelings about this one.

That is painfully obvious. I say painfully, because I was in pain after reading your post.

Well, I'm going to have to go ahead and call you a pansy bitch. I haven't had any operations yet, but if I did have one, I sure as hell wouldn't come out of the operating theater saying "I'm one hell of a fighter!" or expect other people to say it. It's an operation. People have them every day all over the world, and if we labelled every one of them fighters it would just lose it's meaning.

You can go ahead and feel like a fighter, but labelling yourself one is a sure way to not be one. Also, recovering is what happens to most people who have an operation. Otherwise no one would be having them because most people wouldn't recover.

I also have a friend who I would call more of a fighter - has a totally fucked up leg below the right knee, had quite a few operations on it that kept him out of school for nearly a year, yet he still ended up doing pretty well even though he couldn't work most of the time.

Take him back to the doctor, get them to cut him open again and tell them to stick something in his chest that makes him magnetic. Problem solvered!

Although pinning them to his chest is just as effective I suppose.

Well it's good to know somethings haven't changed same old Jarinor willing to start a flame war over such a stupid topic. Well at least I have gotten better where it would seem that you have simply gotten OLDER

Bah who asked anything about him? At this point who even cares? Oh I get it, this was all to try and get me to say that you are right and I am wrong. Sorry it's a POV thing bro, so no matter how much you go on about it you won't be proven right; next thing you know you'll be preaching about the Pope. "blah, blah, blah...." I made an off the cuff comment and you wanna "burn the witch" over it. "blah, blah, blah" :puke:

I'm labelling myself a fighter for making it through this clusterfuck of a thread.

What's the big deal? Menkhur's brother is in the hospital and Hel Khat makes an off-hand remark meant to encourage. No need to jump all over his balls for improper use of the phrase "fighter". At least not in a thread about the opening poster's brother having a life-threatening operation. Lighten up, Aussies.

Oh, Come on Etalis you know me well enough to know that my reply was not anywhere NEAR my full flame power, hell that wasn't even a wet match compared to the way I use to flame. Thus I was not flaming him back I was simply trying to set the record straight 0:)

Thanks Milo a voice of sanity is always welcome 3:)

Indeed. Your usual choice involves many capitalized letters and a profusion of text.

Who says I was trying to start a flame war? I stand by what I said - I'd have to call you a pansy bitch for labelling yourself a fighter for going through your first operation.

I'll leave the rest of your post alone because I want to re-read the book I just got.
