You -liked- Mathew Broderick in Ladyhawke?! The whole time I was daydreaming about hitting him just for the sheer pleasure of doing so to someone who's voice is so pathetic and feeble.

And I keep hearing good things about this whole Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy thing. Haven't read the book either, but maybe i should. New movie is crap, then?

I wasn't exactly confident in Village's description, they have a tendency to be nasty like that. Wikipedia gave it decent reviews though, so it might be worth watching somehow. 30th isn't far away, but how long are they playing it for?

I haven't manage to get a copy of the series yet, might be a rarity in Sweden. Dammit Douglas, why didn't you have a stronger heart? The movie went downhill when you left us.

I did that too! So did about half the audience, actually. Ah, Marvin, your sheer awesomeness cannot be captured in words.

The new movie will destroy your soul. You should definitely read the books, they've very tongue-in-cheek. And if you can track down the original radio drama, it's well worth the effort. The BBC series is pretty much the crowning pinnacle of awesome.

No idea at all. Knowing Village, probably only a few days. And as I am pretty familiar with both the novel and the historical period the movie is based on, I have every reason to be over the moon with utter joy. *bounce bounce*

Except it's in the middle of Hobart, I drove down there over easter and it was NOT fun XD Very boring drive, even worse on a bus and I can't imagine a bike being much fun either....

Hitchhikers it is then, as soon as I get a moment. Sorta getting sick of re-reading REH's Conan stories over and over again....

*points Charonte to the book mentioned in her sig* It's very funny, and being a Conan fan you'd likely appreciate it even more than I did.

Yeah, it's looking like I'm gonna be waiting for the DVD for this one.

Hey, Village is actually selling the tickets on their site atleast until the 5th of August. Shame I might have to go down there soon. Aren't I lucky...

Ronan the Barbarian conan riff? Sounds interesting, I'll look for my library card and maybe order a copy.

It's an absolute hoot. It's got elves who get drunk off of seawater, no lie. They even get high off the smell of it. No wonder the elves who go away beyond the seas never come back - they're too drunk!

Pfft, the real Conan didn't have elves. Still though, between the drugged up dwarves and flesh eating donkeys I'll give it a go if I can find my card without having to buy another -.-

I do not want to nitpick, but the above picture is a Tasmanian Devil. Now the only Wombat species that are "critically endangered" is The Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat (Now restricted to a 3 km² range within the 32 km² Epping Forest National Park in Queensland). The other two species: The Common Wombat and Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat has more chance to survive.

I could only hope that it will be here in my town's library, because I definably want to read that book. (I am a great fan of Conan.)

I know that the first picture is a Tasmanian devil and I never said that Wombats were endangered, i said that Tasmanian tigers are extinct.

So by explaining the lack of cuteness of the tasmanian tiger with it's extinction you claim that being extinct automatically takes away the cuteness factor? That's just rude.

You people are still talking about Tasmania? After two pages? What the fuck? Someone derail this. Maybe I'll do so with pictures of my new car once it's clean.

    *tackles DarkFool* Shut up!

I must be about the only person who thinks Tassie Devils are cute, then. Oh well, we have Paddymelons (or however you fucking spell it) in the park over my back fence. They're like Wallabys, only cuter and less likely to ram-raid your tent at 2am for food. (Yes, that has actually happened to me, on a school camp to the Tasman Peninsula.)

I know we frown on smilie posts here, but there's only one thing to demonstrate my utter disgust...
