Donate again, and you'll get nuked. (No threat, but you're reaching the strengths where you're a possible target.)

So, what did a donation get you, exactly? Lots of cash and land?

A 20 dollar donation gets you 200,000 in game cash, 200 miles of land, 100 infra, and 20 tech.
    I'm donating again in November.

Watch your backs with donating. I short time ago, there were a group of thugs looking for people who used donations to boost their country and attacking them. Stupid yes, but thats what they did.

Maybe they though it would be easy pickings, experience wise?

For some reason there is a movement amongst some members that think donation bonuses should be removed. Theres actually quite a lot of them.

I wonder if these people realise that the people who donate are keeping the game open for them?

We had a GATO discussion about that, too, and it seemed a lot of people failed to grasp that donations kept the game and forums open. Even when that was explained to them, some were crying "cheater."

I'd like to adopt a policy of banning them if they say donating is cheating. If they can't show simple gratitude then I don't want them there.

I've been unable to donate whilst I'm at Uni, I don't make enough money. But as soon as the Christmas break starts at the end of November I'll be donating every month until Feburary.

I'm on the fence about donating. Part of me wants to contribute, and cash in on the bonuses. The other half is too hard-headed to boost up like that and wants to do it all the hard way. I just dont know.

I guess its just like FA, but I'm generally loath to accept that unless I'm hurting bad. Stupid pride getting in the way.

The donation allowed me to get to where I could have been if I wasn't preoccupied with a dead computer.
However, now it seems like the only way I can advance, with people attacking me out of boredom.

I blew the lot on infrastructure, 2 cruise missiles, a handful of tanks (which I guess are worthless given my tech rating) and some soldiers. Then I went "Doh, improvements!". I'm learning but my 6 minute spending splurge was fun!

Oh and my technoloy costs per level are now $18,388.00 per level up from $10,000. Lesson: Buy a few full levels of tech FIRST.

I agree with the sentiment that it's a bit cheating but by the same token, I don't see it as much. If I donate again next month for example, my strength won't go up anywhere near as much. I'll get a few more people and that'll be it. I can see myself donating if my nation was ZI'd just to get a bit of a head start, rather than doing all that again but beyond that, at this level, it's not going to be much benefit. I think you'd gain more from a strong alliance willing to help you out with some aid every once in a while then you will donating.

By the same token, the donation put me into the same range as most of the other members in my alliance which worked out quite well. I figure someone would try and attack me for it and if that's the case, it's better to have some friends in range than be all on your lonesome.

I'm in indecision about donating before the end of the month. The bonuses would really help, especially with all the conflicts I keep getting into. On the other hand, I'm also a cheap-skate and dont want to pay for a free game.

    What do you guys think?

If you can afford it then donate, you'll be paying for 1 month but how many free ones have you already had?

I used to play EVE Online and was paying $30 USD a month for that. I played it about as much as I play Cyber Nations (which is to say, no more than about an hour every two days) yet I feel I'm getting more from Cyber Nations than EVE. The good thing is the donation is voluntary and you get something for it where-as in EVE, if you don't pay you don't play. Given I'd sometimes go for a week or two without playing EVE at all, it wasn't worth it. For Cyber Nations, I so far feel it was.

I donated at the end of Oct and now I've jumped up 1100 points, but now I'm in range of a few nuke powers. At least tax collections have doubled!
