How would you use a bear trap?

I've found a bear trap in the rat infested warehouse in Tarant. Somehow never found it there before, was always missing that barrel. Now I'm thinking how to make a good use of it. Any suggestions?
P.S. My character is a tech with no Prowl skill, so sneaking isn't an option.

 

There are a couple of ways to use it in Tarant. If you are playing a weaker character and want to slow him down or damage him, you can use it against an ogre guard, or against a certain set of saboteurs, or even against the gangs in the Boil. Or, if you want to play a nasty trick, put it in the road in between the sections of the Boil so the Tarant guard will march over it. If those sanctimonious jerks irritate you as much as they do me with their preaching but never doing anything, you get to watch them hurt that way without actually getting into it with them. If you set it and leave, you may even come back to find them gone. I did that once with a bunch of spring traps to see what would happen and came back to find all the guards just gone. It might also come in handy on a certain were-rat in a nearby warehouse. Only problem with it is keeping any followers from setting it off.
