    Hello,

    I have the following question.
I am doing the quest for Mr. Willoughsby of Tarant to lead the negotiations between Tarant and Caldon for making Caladon Join.
However do not want to make the most money out of it i want to make Tarant and Caladon as equal partners in the end, so that i may see them so in the end cutscenes. I know from a walkthru that in order to do this one has to save Donn Throgg to let him make a workers union and i already did this.
I do not know however which answers i should make at the Council in Caladon to make the optimal agreements for Caladon as well as for Tarant.
Shall i answer everything according to Willoughsbys advice ?

So please tell me which are the optimal answers so that it is equally balanced between Tarant and Caladon ?

    Thanks in advance,
    L.

Well, one way to do that quest is to click the first reply for each question. Works for me.

Clicking on the first answer for each question = Tarant uber alies. Try # 2 for about three of the worst ones. Your pay is your best guide. 7,000 coins is a fair & ballanced treaty. 10,000 is Tarant wins big.

With CH 17 you cannot give Willowsby everything, & you get a balanced treaty. maybe CH 18 too, I forget.

If you have charisma of twenty you can tell them anything. And as long as Donn Throgg is saved, you should get the good ending. I always end up with Tarant winning big and still get the good ending. Just read the book carefully.

That's weird. I've gone into that quest with my CH maxed and gotten Tarant everything they wanted and STILL never gotten more than 7000 gold. I finally decided that was the max I could get until I read this post and just decided to get a balanced deal for Caladon since I got the same amount of gold that way.

Has anyone EVER gotten paid off by any of the people who offer to bribe you on the way in? I've done some of the stuff that they wanted, but they are never there when I come back out. The only ones there when I leave the council chamber are the guards and the prince. Again, I figured they are just a bunch of welchers blowing hot air, but maybe I'm wrong.

The girl with the eroticizied sales pitch is there, but you only get cash. The anti union guy vanishes. I have had a few others stay & pay out, but I forget who.
