How many go straight to the forums?

How often do you see the front page?

    Just out of curiosity, how many people bypass the front page / main site and head straight for the forums, post a bunch of times and then leave? (I'd especially be interested in hearing from the forum lurkers out there)

    Do you check the main site / front page at all? How often would you look at the main site? Once a week? Then the rest of the time you just look in the forum?

    Inquiring minds would like to know!

    As a follow-up question, if I were to include some part of the main page menu system into the forum header, would that be seen as a Good Thingâ„¢?

    IE: The 4 pictures for each of Troika's games and the links underneath them that let you access content on the site. So that you could be browsing the forum, scroll to the top, click a link to the Arcanum UberFAQ and be taken straight to it, rather than having to go to the main page and get to it from there.

    When I go here, I go straight to the forum. I rarely check the main site, once a week tops. When the character planner was working, I used to check that out every once in a while whenever new character ideas popped up in my mind, but now that feature is gone, presumably dead. :cry:

    Being that much of a mainpage-skipping deviant, I've got no suggestions nor constructive ways to answer your follow-up question, oh allmighty lord of cows. Sorry.

    Yeah, I haven't been to the front page in a while. If you want more people to read the front page, you need to make something popular only available there. I mean, the news, you can get in the forum, so what's the point of going to the front page to get it? :/

    Why check the front page when everything I'm looking for winds up in the News Comments section anyway? May be I'll check the front page during that once a month period where I actually play arcanum, and may be wanna check and see the best way to complete quest but even that is rare because I usually just save and reload and play the quests multiple ways until I decide which outcome is best. So yeah, when I open internet explorer I usually just type "www.terr" and hit the down button twice and select "www.terra-arcanum.com/php/ndez.php." May be one out of every 15 visits I'll select just plain old "ta.com" but I always go straight to the forum anyway.

    May be if there were some actually ToEE content I'd check that out, but I've gone through just about everything Arcanum related.

    I usually go to the main page...but then straight to the forums.

    I'll throw my eyes to the news every now and then...but yeah. :p


    I used to go to the site to get help at Arcanum...

    Really, help and guidance through the different games is the main reason why people use the main site, as evident in this thread. So when Vampire hits the shelves, maybe we should focus to get up loads of Vampire-material on the site in a move to attract new members?
