Your retreat into humour isn't helping your case.

Read your posts. If what you said is not your case, then I hope I can be forgiven for thinking that what you said was what you meant!

I indeed meant pretty much everything I said here. You are forgiven for approaching what I've said all too seriously, though.

More to Zanza's point, I have no interest in viewing this particular anime. That is not to say that it is not entertaining or that I would not find it worthwhile to watch, but there are so many other things that hold more interest to me that I probably won't get to for me to invest the time in Highschool of the Dead.

More to Zanza's point as it pertains to me, I found myself returning to the General Discussion forum this afternoon to see if anyone had responded to my post concerning drug abuse. As it happens, my post was buried so deeply in a thread bearing no resemblance to the actual discussion that I missed it, resorting to stalking my own profile to find my post (and discussion that followed). I've never had such an appreciation for our natural derailment until now.

Please isolate your jibes at Xyle's beliefs to the The Truth (As I see it) thread. Only there is it somewhat relevant and going out of your way to express your disagreement here is petty.

Noticing that you failed to actually reply to my remark, I point out that if your argument is that its irrelevant, it only takes a quick read to notice that it's not; and if it's that you don't appreciate my using it as an example, I don't give a fuck about your opinion (notice that I didn't say iff).

This is the first time I've ever been in such a situation. I'm doing as much research as I can before my preliminary hearing because I can't afford an attorney and my public defender will only deign to meet me the day of my hearing, about an hour before it happens.

As replying to your remark is not obligatory, I chose to ignore your remark in favor of addressing your method.

Quickly rereading your remark reveals to me that your inclusion of Xyle was in fact relevant. Allow me to complain of the artificial nature of its relevance as you gratuitously included Xyle as an example not to strengthen your claim but to further ridicule him. Not that I don't appreciate the rhetoric you and he have provided in the The Truth (As I see it) thread, but I have page after page of that to read and reread at my leisure; I don't need more of it here.

Your arguments would be better served if you isolated your grudges to the discussions in which they originated.

Oh, and good luck, Grossenschwamm. You know what they say about the man who chooses to represent himself, don't you?

What does that even mean? Artificial nature of its relevance? It wasn't relevant, but I somehow made it so?

I don't understand this at all. Better served? What?

Them's just a load of words put beside each other! They don't make no sense none!

I have to decide whether or not I want to wait a week for the english dub or watch an english sub now. I think I've gotten used to the voices now so the english sub will just sound weird to me, not to mention the fact I like to sit back and watch these types of shows, not have to follow every word on a screen. It looks like the anime is moving beyond just the fact that it is a group of teenagers surviving. It is also looking at Nation's responses to the epidemic.

I must say, Zanza, your determination to keep this thread on topic is quite admirable. I am eager to watch this anime, as I love zombies. Have you seen ZombieLand?

Zombieland was an entertaining movie, I noticed how it involved achievements to appeal to the CoD playerbase. As far as I can tell I haven't seen any zombies running like they are ex-Olympians in HOTD which is what I enjoy. Running zombies is too scary for me.

Precisely. Xyle has as much to do with laws and liberties as any other individual and he only appeared in your argument because you forced an opportunity to reference him.

Treat "better served" as a context-appropriate variation of "to serve well" and it should come together pretty cleanly. However sound your argument might be, you manage to discredit it by gratuitously attacking unrelated, uninvolved individuals.

I personally avoid English dubs in anime. In nearly all cases I've experienced, the English voices were overdone, cheesy and simply not fitting the characters.

The Japanese voices are always worth the bother of reading the subs. I especially like the Japanese voice of Arucard in the Helsing episodes.

Well Japanese Goku sounded like a 12 year old boy.

That's because the voice of Goku, from dragonball to GT, was done by a woman.

Didn't see that one coming. Nice trivia, Gross!

I myself only know Japanese Goku from GT, though, so I don't remember him all that well. While the GT series aired around here was Japanese, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z had French subs and openings (DB / DBZ). It was as silly as it sounds, though I have a sentiment for that version, it being a part of my childhood and all.

    EDIT:
Something amusing I stumbled upon while searching for the openings. Love the Goten part. Nearly as funny as his brother.
