The actor does fit rather nicely with Sephiroth's "character". I just wish he spent more time in the movie. The guy playing Barrett reminded me a little too much of Mr. T. I think that was the whole point of Barrett, though. Mr. T with a machine gun hand.
The most recent definition that I have heard is:
Dude; (n) a guy who dresses well
synonyms: dandy, fop, beau, fashion-plate, clotheshorse.
I picked up the synonyms at "Dictionary.com"
I've also heard a dude being described as the hair on an elephant's butt.
Of course, slang always wins out. It's to convey approval.
Rroyo, your definition is also present, but it's one of three definitions.
Most of the time I call those people, "City-Slickers," you know, after the movie.

I really liked Cait Sith's voice - the accent made us laugh till we cried - and Vincent was just bad-ass, but the voice of Sephiroth was so frigging cool! He should have had more than six minutes twenty seconds, dammit!! (He lasts for the duration of One Winged Angel +6 seconds. I have the track.)

I hadn't heard about a dude being hair on an elephant's butt... hmmm.
    Useless trivia # 10996

And the term "city-slicker", if you can trust any of the movie scripts, seems to have been around since the late 1800s, and the defination hasn't changed.

    Definately one of the classics.

Weird how some stuff never changes. Like how if I hit a guy in the head with a hammer he still says "AAAAAUGH!"

A man hit in the hammer doesn't say shit. The hammer makes all the noice together with the victims head: SPLAT.

Wierd how that noice never changes.

Research and Development tried and tried with the multi tone hammer, but we just couldn't get the damn thing to work.

I watched it in English twice - once for my friend Bill and the other time for JA. The Japanese voices are better. I still like Sephiroth, though. Scaaaaaary.
