    I still work on the World of Cthulhu mod*, but I have some problems:

    1. How can I let them choose their nationalities? What about their Languages?

    2. Has anyone made perfect working secret doors?

    *The first floor of the Miskantonic University is almost ready.(There is 5% ready of this mod.)

    Do you mean changing the race of NPCs, or the language of the player?

    What do you mean by "secret doors" - what do you want them to do for you?

    It looks like you know what you're doing with the languages. Are you planning to make every NPC speak in a different language, because keep in mind that this is going to create 5x (or maybe 3x if you're clever) the PC response lines. Or, I guess you could have most people speak the same language, and have language only affect a few things.

    You also might put the language thing into your own custom backgrounds. One background might be,

    "mercenary from x... you have such-and-such attributes, etc...

    (You speak language X and language Y)"

    This would require that people only use your own backgrounds, so you'd have to include your own .mes files for people to put in arcanum/data/rules and arcanum/data/mes to replace the default ones given by the game. your call.

    I know this is a brief explanation of what you mean to say, but I wanted to point this out:

    Keep in mind that even the person who knows what it is might not use it. If you want to separate the people from a certain area or not, you should use gf118 0, to make sure the Frisian can't choose the "don't know what it is" option.


    As for secret passages, you can make anything a passage. If you want to make it a secret, though, are you thinking of making it only transport the player if the player knows about it (i.e. set a global flag that the PC knows there's a secret trapdoor under the cabinet in the office, etc...), or always let the PC use it? the sewer openings make good small scenery for teleport. you can find them immediately outside the caladon penarii temple, for example.

    Or are you asking for new art to make secret passages? I don't know of any, but you can always make your own scenery that does this.
