Welcome aboard, This may be the wrong forum but... I think Serria has an exchange for that problem. If someone is to mail you a file, they probably need to know what language your coppy is.
Those CDs are a nightmare. Everytime someone's friend or relative scratches one, it's always arcanum.dat that gets corrupted. I've never seen anyone ask for a single other file.
I know this sounds stupid (considering the file corruption and all), but thoroughly clean your disk. My friend thought he had scratched my play disk (so did I - arcanum3.dat wouldn't install), until i found a small bit of grime on the surface - I cleared this up with a tissue. No problems since. Then again, if you've got a gash through it....I can't help :smile: ...
Isn't arcanum2.dat several hundred megs big? As in 300-400 MB? Don't think too many people would be willing (or even have the time) to upload a file of that size. Very long shot, but check a file sharing service. You never know.
I have a fat pipe as do others here. If Sharule has an english version, & his account will alow such a big file, I would send it as would many here.
You're better off just getting a replacement disc from Sierra. Or downloading a warez image of the disc, but that's up to your conscience. If you actually bought the game, then no harm, no foul morally. If you didn't buy the game, then you should do the Happy Juarez Monkay Jig on your wooden peg leg, yarrr. Either way, it's not a good idea to ask for that kind of shit here. Calis could get in trouble with his host if they found out stuff like that was being traded here, so let's not do it.
In response to the cleaning of the disk, I bought a cd scratch remover kit, It repaired the two other games my bro. ruined, but not arcanum... I did not relize the size of the file I was looking for was, and also, I legally bought arcanum for $50 at hastings, my owning a copy it is legal for me to download the warez of it, but unfortionatly the warez does not exsist in my searching for it. I might consider buying another copy within the next week, unless some one could contact me on AIM(my e-mail does not support huge files) thanks for the help. -Sharule.
