    Hi everyone!

I have a problem... I started the quest to get the dwarven mage, but when I try to talk to the alchemist's wife, nothing happen, she won't initiate dialog.

I tried waiting at night to steal the empty vial, but she stand there at night, too, and if I try to open the vase, she attack me. I tried killing her and looting the vase, but it's empty...

If I try to talk to her at night while she is standing near the vase, she say "I''m meditating, come back int he morning..." She show up as a naked level 1 elf.

Also, since we are talking about strange bugs, I'm having some problems with my npcs. I have 100 aligment, and every once in a while when I attack a random monster, my npcs will complain. I could understand if I was attacking a villager, but I'm talking about regular ennemies.

    Here are two examples:

Magus complain if I attack a Barbarian in Kree (the ruined city) or the Paladin slaves on the Pirate's quest for the ship. I also lose some aligment points when I kill those. What's happening? They can't be any more good than my character...

    Thanks for the help!

Oh! I escorted Swift to Tarant, and when I wander around at night in Quintara, I still see her, and when I talk to her, she say "Thanks you for taking me to Tarant". But she is not there in the day.

There is at least one good-aligned barbarian in Kree, and the paladin slaves are good as well. Just leave your good followers some distance away during those encounters.

Swyft always returns to Qintarra after (briefly) visiting Tarant.

For Jormund's quest.... Are you patched?

No, I was not patched. I just downloaded and installed the patch. But I tested and it seem like the savegame editor does not work with the patch, am I wrong?

No, it works fine with the patch.

Did the patch fix your other problems?

Well... I'm a lot more concerned about the editor not working than I am about the game bugs.

When I open one of my savegames in the editor, all things are messed up. My female 20 str half elf tomboy is now a -3 str halfling male with something like 200 in fire magiks. But if I load the savegame in the the game, it work fine.

I reinstalled the game without the patch, and if I re-save an old savegame and open it with the editor, it's still messed up, but if I start a new game and save it, it work fine in the editor.

What version of the editor are you using? Mine is version 1.8

Humm... I just looked some more, and actually, my 3 oldest savegames load fine in the editor. Could it mean that my savegames are corrupted somehow? They work fine ingame except for the bug with the alchemist's wife...

I had that same problem working on someone else's game. I figured the quest was botched with the chemists wife. If you make her mad with the wrong answers for get it! you don't get a second chance. Thats why before you talk to her, save the game!

I believe what it is, you HAVE to steal the vial first before you talk to her!

Your games aren't corrupted. The further you are into the game, the more variables are at work on your character and followers, the more likely the editor is to screw up reading your stats. IIRC it won't even recognize Virgil after he's reborn.

It's the editor itself. From what I understand (look in the Modding Support forum) there will be a new version of it out very soon, so then you'll be able to return to your cheatin' ways. :)

    That's one I haven't heard before.

The patch can only fix things after the save, so if the problem is already in the save, you are out of luck. If you have a save from before you talked to the elf girl, you are in luck.

You can talk to her before you steal the vial or after.

I can't talk to her, and the vial is not there, either.

I don't really care about the quest, anyway. I'm used to traveling alone...

The vial isn't there? Could you possibly have an incomplete installation? Or was that something fixed by the patch.... hmm....

I doubt I have an incomplete installation, as I missed nothing else.
