Guys plz help me with The black mountain clan mine. I get my ass kicked by the gay golem,sometimes by the summoned cougars from the kite shaman. I have Virgil in my party, I am a newbie to the full game so can anyq give me advice on what to do? eg. where some cool followers r and so on?. My half-orc is lvl 12 and is good with firearms and harm and minor heal spells. HELP!
hmm some cool follower's the ones i know are 1.sogg mead mug -in the inn at shrouded hilld (need high charisma) 2.Magnus shale fist -outside p.schuyler and sons in tarant(must be good alighned) 3.Gar -he is the "worlds smartest orc" in ht.parnells (the museum) in tarant talk to him and tell him green tea is better than earl gray this will give him away and you can buy his freedom from the museum owner or if you have high persuasion you can blag him with threats of human slavery etc and media attention. 4.Jayna Stiles -In dernholm she is the local healer must have a tech rating of +10 her house is quite near the entrance to town. with these guys with you it shouldn't be a problem and bring ranged weapons for the clay golems or if your advanced enough (as i was) simply use the disintigrate spell.
Ore Golems...you mentioned you have harm right? Ore golems are slow, just cast harm until he dies. ALso, I noticed you are technologically and magically inclined. With a technology and magic combination, you wont get the best out of ur tech weapons and magic spells. Try to slide towards a side. Just dont stay near an ore golem. Use ranged weapons or spells. DONT ask ur followers to attack. They will get their weapons damaged or die. Just leave them somewhere.
Well, I'll give you the tactic that's worked for me many times: Have your followers wait out of sight of the Golem. Run out so the Golem sees you and lure it back to your followers. Run through your followers and keep going into an area you've already cleared, staying just ahead of the Golem. The Golem will follow you and your followers will fall in behind the creature. They'll attack from the rear and eventually kill the beast.
