I never said I liked them, but even if their current live performances are shitty, their back catalogue retains it's credibility. Van Halen have broken up (and so they don't do live performances anymore) yet they retain their credibility despite this.

Forget this, I have neither the time nor energy to worry myself arguing music with you. Let's agree to disagree that we both think each other's taste in music blows. I think all of you and that shitty, elitist, neoconformist crap you listen too is junk. You think the same thing about my classic rock. Fuck you, as I'm sure you'll say the same to me.

I don't think their credibility has to do with anything other than their musicianship. David Lee Roth is/was/always will be a tool. Thats my opinion though. As far as credibility goes... I used to like the Rolling Stones well enough, and then I saw their recent HBO concert appearance thingy, and its has totally killed their music for me... Once again, its really just my opinion, I know. There really is no excuse for listening to Guns'n'Roses, or Aerosmith, that is one thing I will not tolerate. ;)

Now that's better. A little joke to state your opinion rather than, like Jar said, announce it as if it were Teh Gahspull.

Nirvana, SilverChair, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Offspring, Goo-Goo Dolls, Blink 182, Goldfinger, Foo Fighters, and The Presidents of the United States of America.

Wonderful, but what does that have to do with what we're talking about? I'm partial to some smashing pumpkins, but its still got nothing to do with what I was saying about music.

Having stated all of this, I'd like to add the album "Psychocandy" by Jesus and the Mary Chain, is impeccable.

    Good call.
You should make up a compilation of great hair metal songs. I would suggest including "Rock you Like a Hurricane" and "No One Like You" by Scorpions, and "Here I go Again" by Whitesnake.

I will emotionally rape the first person who suggests that The Darkness is a good band.

I cut a solo out of one of their songs (not sure which) because it was fucking awesome technially and sounded good. But yes I don't like the overall flow of their songs

Keep in mind, MindlesslyElitist_Jeek, that I said "good hair metal." The operant there is "hair metal," making "good" a relative term.
