The Nation of Perfidy lead by Bunkie has attacked me. What am I supposed to do? I've had half my army wiped out and my happiness is down to -2.

    He stole $1.28! The bastard.

Do I just buy as many troops as I can, deploy the lot and attack him back? I've blown all my foreign aid on buying infrastructure and technology. Should I have left some behind? Is there a good cash level to keep on hand or does that just make it more vulnerable to theft from war?

If I collect taxes, I'll have a little over $1,500 after bills.

First, buy more troops, he might come back (up to 80% of your population). Heck, hit him back twice if you want.

Second, PM the battle reports to me, and ask for help. Then I'll post a thread in the forums to get the army of GC on your side.

    Third, wait for reinforcements.

I hit him back twice. :) My plan of attack after a bit of quick reading:
    1. Collect taxes
    2. Pay Bills
    3. DEFCON 1
    4. Purchase 127 soldiers
    5. Somehow ended up buying more than the 127 soldiers I selected..
    6. Realised it's that daft +15% crap which doesn't seem to be calculated until AFTER the fact.
    7. -14 Happiness
    8. Decide to lower solider count by deploying 91 soldiers overseas / 92 defending and hopefully losing a few.
    9. Go to Wars & Battles screen, click "Battle" and have it out with Bunkie.

Yep, I just edited it out, since the whole world can see it. Bad DU, no biscuit. Anyways, its up and has the attention of the Field Commander.
If anyone asks you, you sent the info via PM to me as well since thats what I wrote.

Now we wait 24 hours for him to realize the errors of his ways. Maybe we can get Frigo and Vyenna to check if they're in range of this guy, and offer their assistance in battle if needed?

You MIGHT be able to drop into range if you sold enough land.

But I can't guarentee it and it'll be expensive to get that land back.

I have 483.033 nation strength; perhaps I'll be able to attack the little shit if I lose some solders.

Losing land is a better way to lower strength.

But its expensive to get it back.

Well as you taught me, you don't really need a whole lot of land as your nation is growing, infra is more important.

A question: at the start, I accidentally bought some land (3.0..4.0, I don't remember) and now it displays the proof of my terrible mistake. If I sell land, the bought land will decrease first, right? (I hope...)

Aren't you already involved in a battle Frigo? Maybe we should settle that before we get you involved on another front. The GC can send an aid package to DU and boost him up same as me and he can do the stomping himself. If the Council send 100k for tech, He'll march all over him, plus its a great way to get our newest nations boosted up.

Of course, we'll need your immortal soul for collataral DU. :)

I think you'll be hard pressed finding a soul in there. Land is important at the start for population happyness and if you buy a hell of a lot of troops. It does not seem as important later on in the game.

Later on in the game there are faster ways to increase happiness.
