Help, I'm new to this game and one thing bugs me. I've read in the game's manual that when you gain experience points by doing quests or killing, it's supposed to show in that info box in the bottom of the screen (like in Fallout, Baldur's Gate etc.). Only it doesn't...Now it's not what I would call a game breaking problem, but it's annoying to have to check the character screen every time when I do quests, and the xp bar is not all that detailed. Have I understood something wrong, or is something wrong with the game? I'm running the latest UOP.
When you gain experience, the bar at the bottom of your screen above the info box will gradually turn completely red and then a gong will sound when you gain a level. That's it.
There's two progress bars for xp. The ten red lights and, just below it, a thin red line. The lights equal progress to next level and the red line equals progress to next filled red light. Therefore percentage of xp needed to level up can be estimated to 0.1% at a glance.
