glad to see this site is still functioning. I haven't logged on in about ... 10? ... years. Arcanum was a great game when I first bought it and I'd love to purchase it on GoG, or hopefully even Steam eventually, except life has stolen me away from windows and now I am a mac user. Anyone know if there is any chance of a port for OSX?

edit - Anyone know if any d&d campaign settings, boardgames, or p&p rpgs etc have been created based on this amazing game?

I couldn't find any OSX ports, but after a quick search, I found this, a program that'll let you run Windows-based programs on your Mac. Haven't tried it myself, thought.

    Good luck!

Ah someone who joined before me, a chance to feel young again.

There isn't a whole lot out there based on Arcanum since unfortunately if you follow the corporate web it belongs to Activision-Blizzard now. There have been a few attempts at D&D type campaigns but none that I am aware of that actually got finished.

And if you must insist on using a Mac isn't bootcamp the easiest option? Otherwise this site is apparently about some voodoo to make the GoG version work on a Mac: http://portingteam.com/files/file/7050- ... k-obscura/ I've not tried it myself as I'm always using either Win 7 or Linux.

Meh, where are Sigurd, Chalupa Cobra, Ferret and MatahChuah when you need them?

Anyway, how are you holding up? Still paying $600 a month to live in a basement?

No one can be told what the inexplicable sombrero is. You have to see it for yourself.
