This may be a stupid question, but does anyone out there know enough about hex editing pros to tell me how to add scripts to an armour prototype?

It's based on the machined gauntlets. I changed the wield on and off scripts easily enough. The gauntlets already use these attachment points so all I had to do was find the relevant number and change it.
However I want to add a script to the taking damage attachment point. This does not already exist and so must be added. The hex edit docs are great for lots of things but script attachment is not one of them. It says to insert "some" bytes for new scripts. Can anyone elaborate on this?

Use a similar existing item prototype that uses scripts you want and alter that prototype into what you want to make as well as re-inputting correct new script numbers.

iirc, my "how to make a sword" tut on http://users.raketnet.nl/renevandepol/ explains some about this.

    (It still works, hah)

Thanks Asrudin but I figured it out myself. I just came here in the vain hope that there was an easy answer, which there is not.
It's nice to have another modder on the forums. I hope you stay this time!
