I just heard that saddams information minister is going to surrender. Try to imagine what a standupp comedian he could be after the war.
Is he the one that announced to the world that all American forces had been defeated and brutally slaughtered.... just before three large tanks bearing the American flag, with lots of very much alive Americans on them, came rolling passed his window?
Apperantly the americans nearly killed him but the tank missed, so he excaped to his aunt, where he is hiding. last thing i heard he was trying to surrender to the american forces who did not want to take him prisoner because he is no in the deck of cards. If there is not an oscar for beeing the most crasy information minister in the world they should invent one for old Bob.
I heard the lying git hanged himself. Credit to him, if he's still alive though. Regards, Morden
I believe that there were 128 American lives lost. That was the last news I heard, anyway. I'm not sure about the other Allies in combat, nor the Iraqis.
I know we Brit's lost a high percentage of our boys our Yankee brethren and infernal Helicopters o' doom.
I think the figure still stands as 100% of British fatalities to the Americans. Sure, the Iraqis have injured a few, and we've injured a few through friendly fire, but I believe all the deaths were American-born. :-x Mind you, I think more than half of the American deaths were American caused too.
Sadly true. A squad of Paras were being transported via American helicopter to the coast when it collided with another chopper. (Don't ask me how.) Two Tornado crew were shot down by a Patriot missile launcher as well, I think it was the first "frienly fire" incident of the war. Regards, Morden
Note to self: Avoid personally working co-operatively with any American trained forces. Chances are they'll shoot me.
"War... War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Hitler turned a battered Germany into a nazi superpower. The americans are still the experts on blue on blue But war never changes" Sorry could not help myself
I'm with Shadygrove. I avoid the news as often as possible. Reality is overrated. If anything REALLY important happens, I'm sure someone will tell me about it. I did hear that there was a fire in a nightclub up in Rhode Island where more people were killed than in the war, and when RI asked Bush for relief help (many of the victims didn't have insurance, so the state of RI has to foot the medical bills), Bush said the budget couldn't afford it because money was tied up in the war. *sigh* War is stupid. Or maybe it's just me... You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. --- John Lennon
I'd just like to point out that more people die in one month on the roads of just one county in Britain than have been killed in total on the 'allies' side during the war. It's not very much so no doubt there a many incidents where more people die than in the war. On a side note, why do so many people complain about the deaths the war is causing when they couldn't give a toss about the roads? :-?
Because of ideology. In theory, you join the military to serve one's country;so therefore, casualties of war have died for us, whether we like it or not. Sorry to be facticious, but you can't say the same about people killed in road accidents. Regards, Morden
