Haven and Hearth

Somebody here already found this (I think it was Yuki and DE who first started playing). I'm pretty sure it devolved into a massive flame war over the whole thing, and then it just disappeared from our view.

The game sounded cool at first, but appeared to have major bugs. If they're fixed now, perhaps I could give it a try after I'm done with my college applications (by the 15th of Nov.)

Also, no major flame wars there.

Created a character, in the process of learning the game.

Seems to be not the worst of games.

 

What's your char's name, Wobbler? I'm Blake Rochester.

Also, where is this village? Some guy told me to 'go east, because everything in the starting area is barren', and I've been traveling for ages. I came across a corpse on a river bank. At one point, I found a group of people, three or four of them sleeping and one red headed woman baking bread. I stole their cart filled with dough, but they caught me and made me give it back.

 

Since I was on a loss, I just named myself "Wobbler".

And while I didn't drop my clothes in the water, I don't know how to put them on. Or to do anything besides walking around.

And I can't seem to find an helpful guide.

 

Right click people to get a body. To put clothes on, go to your inventory and drop it onto your body.

 

Either I'm doing it wrong, or it doesn't work.

Because I tried dragging and dropping to my body, (And the equipment slots) but I'm running around naked.

 

What do you do in this game?

 

AVG said it was safe, but I read the first page and it doesn't actually explain what to do, just says learn lots of skills through activities and by doing stuff. Pretty general explanation.

 

If this thread and the last one are anything to go by, it's ugly as sin and riddled with bugs.

I did try that out for a few, and I gotta say, it wasn't really like this game at all.

Haven is more fun, in my opinion.

 

Fair enough (I haven't tried Haven), I just don't think being in alpha is an excuse for much. The developers should have done more QA before making it public if that was to be the issue.

Wurm was hard to get into, but for a social retard like me boy was it fun once you got there. I lived in 5 odd towns on the home server, although I did have this problem that involved getting drunk and logging into wurm; I'd get back to it in a day or so and wonder how the fuck I got ontop of that huge freakin' hill on this tiny little island on the other side of the bloody map.

That was until one of the partners sold out and it all turned to shit.

 

I am only getting a certificate failure, which is saying that I shouldn’t go to that site. Also, they should have fixing (fixed) the bugs and problems first, and then place it back on the internet again.

 

The server has been down since this morning.
